Mid-budget review clears House and Senate, heads to Kasich's desk
Algae blooms on Lake Erie will be fought, Cleveland families with kids receiving school vouchers will no longer pay to be in the program and driver's education classrooms could soon be online. Meanwhile, famous son of Ohio, Thomas Alva Edison, is finally on his way to Washington.
Those provisions and hundreds more altering state government policy were part of a wide-ranging mid-budget review conference committee deal agreed to Wednesday by the Ohio General Assembly. The document now heads to the desk of Gov. John Kasich for his expected signature.
